AAU ANASTAS was requested to elaborate a concept project for the Edward Said music conservatory in Jericho in the context of Jericho 10 000 years festival. The geological depression that separated the mountains of Palestine from the Transjordan plains put the Jericho plain under depression and stimulates the wind. The project consists of a roof controlling the wind and the climate with the objective of creating adequate and comfortable conditions in a dry region like Jericho. The microclimate is obtained through the over roof structure, creating shadowed facades of the different functions, allowing the fresh air to circulate freely in the volumes generated, and the roof.
