Jericho is a city located near the Jordan River, and is the lowest permanently inhabited site on earth. The town-houses occupy an agricultural lot overlooking the mountains of temptation. The concept of the overlapping houses volumes, is based on a maximised potential for interaction between the exterior spaces and the houses while fitting into the existing landscape of site. Each house is independent and has direct access to the common spaces including a swimming pool area. The houses compositions and superimpositions, gives to the general layout a sculptural quality within its setting. This shifted layout allows the houses to define several different outdoor areas, including a shaded lounge, a barbecue area and the swimming pool space. The volume sequences, and their superimposition, create covered and opened terraces, creating a draft adapted to the hot climate of Jericho.
